Gil Losi Jr. and his father Pops started Team Losi by selling homemade aftermarket radio control parts and accessories at a local skatepark snack bar, which eventually evolved into a mini hobby shop. After purchasing the famous "Ranch Pit Shop," the father-son duo spent over three years developing their first dedicated race RC vehicle, the iconic JRX2. This original JRX2, with its graphite chassis and 5-link suspension, redefined what a competitive RC racer should be and is recognized as one of the most innovative cars of all time.

To pay homage to the innovations that have shaped the RC community, enthusiasts can celebrate radio control in various ways. The new Mini-JRX2 combines nostalgia with a touch of the present day. This scaled-down version is designed as a tribute to the memory of the original JRX2, featuring all-in-one box packaging, original trim schemes, and old-school handling that allows drivers to experience the thrill of the past or rekindle old memories.

The Mini-JRX2 features a rear motor configuration, 5-link rear suspension, and is completely ready-to-run (RTR) with a 650mAh LiPo battery and .5A USB charger. It also includes an SLT 2.4Ghz transmitter, 2-in-1 ESC/RX, rib fronts, 4-row step pin rear tires, fiberglass chassis, full ball bearings, aluminum shocks, and retro trim schemes for a race-inspired motor with a retro look and modern performance.

Racing enthusiasts had long demanded a re-release of the JRX2 buggy, the vehicle that established Losi as a major player in the RC world, and their wish has been granted with the 1/16th scale Losi Mini JRX2 Buggy. This mini buggy honors its roots by showcasing a classic look alongside 21st-century performance, featuring a scaled-down JRX2, rear motor configuration, 5-link rear suspension, and complete RTR functionality.
